Prioritizing and Resolving Issues in Under 10 Minutes with Custom Error Context

Rush is a shipment tracking and analytics platform for Shopify merchants, and its low-touch, user-centered model depends heavily on a smooth in-app experience. As Rush grew beyond 1,500 brands and multiple daily deployments, its existing APM tools couldn’t provide the rich context or scalability needed to quickly diagnose production issues, prioritize edge cases, and protect UX. Sentry was the vendor Rush chose to help with error monitoring and observability across its frontend and backend stack.

Sentry was implemented with custom error context, alerts, issue grouping, Slack integration, and release health monitoring, all tied into Rush’s CI/CD pipeline. This gave the team the data and source-code context needed to resolve issues in under 10 minutes, maintain multiple deployments per day, and quickly pinpoint root causes during incidents like a Cloudflare outage. The result was faster production recovery, better decision-making, and a more reliable customer experience with measurable business impact.
