Case Study: Planet Wild achieves a stable, high-performing app with Sentry

How the Planet Wild community is restoring our planet (and how we help with their app)

Planet Wild is a mission-driven community restoring the planet through monthly conservation projects, powered by a mobile app where members browse missions, engage with content, and vote on future efforts. As their app became central to the experience, they needed to keep it stable, performant, and free of crashes across Android, iOS, and backend systems, and they partnered with Sentry to help manage that challenge.

Sentry provided crash and error monitoring with Slack alerts, breadcrumbs, and stack traces so Planet Wild could quickly detect and fix issues before users were widely affected. Planet Wild also adopted Sentry’s Jetpack Compose integration to speed Android development, and now uses Sentry as a centralized tool for mobile and backend errors; the result is faster debugging, smoother app experiences, and a high crash-free rate that helps protect user satisfaction.
