Absolute Bangla Suites, a hotel in Phuket, Thailand, faced the challenge of high energy consumption from its HVAC systems while needing to ensure optimal guest comfort in a humid climate that posed risks like mildew. Seeking a smart energy management solution to support their commitment to sustainability, the hotel partnered with vendor SensorFlow to implement its IoT and AI-driven smart room solution.

SensorFlow's solution automated HVAC control based on room occupancy and provided a dashboard for remote monitoring of room conditions. This resulted in a 25% reduction in monthly HVAC energy consumption, saving 10,000-13,000 kWh and approximately $950-$1,266 monthly. The solution also improved operational productivity by enabling predictive maintenance and preventing humidity-related damage. SensorFlow helped the hotel offset an estimated 65.56 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
