Absolute Bangla Implements Smart Room Solution to Maximise Energy Efficiency and Operational Productivity

Absolute Bangla Suites, a boutique hotel in Phuket, faced the dual challenge of high energy costs from inefficient air conditioning use by guests and maintaining optimal room comfort in Thailand's humid climate, which posed mildew risks. Seeking a smart energy management solution to support their sustainability goals, the hotel partnered with vendor SensorFlow to implement their wireless smart automation service.

SensorFlow's solution automated the hotel's split-unit HVAC systems based on real-time room occupancy, preventing energy waste in empty rooms. The system also provided a dashboard for staff to monitor conditions and manage A/Cs remotely. This resulted in a 25% monthly energy saving for Absolute Bangla Suites, averaging 10,000-13,000 kWh and THB 30,000-40,000 in cost savings, while also projecting an annual offset of over 65 tonnes of CO2 emissions. SensorFlow's technology additionally improved guest satisfaction and allowed for proactive room maintenance.
