The customer, MOHU MOL Waste Management Zrt., a subsidiary of MOL Group, was awarded a national concession to centralize waste management and implement a deposit-return scheme (DRS) for beverage containers across Hungary. Their challenge was to integrate this nationwide circular economy under one roof, with the strategic goal of achieving a 90% return rate on containers. Sensoneo provided a fully integrated DRS IT solution featuring modules for a web portal, packaging and collection points registers, an ERP system, reporting, and mobile applications. The system centralized over 2000 return points and introduced innovative features like automatic bank refunds and charitable donations via a mobile app. This solution from Sensoneo supports MOHU's ambition to reach a 90% return rate within three years, which is critical for compliance with forthcoming EU regulations and for reducing packaging waste in landfills.
