Granvia Operation - Customer Case Study

Granvia Operation, a 100% subsidiary of VINCI Highways, is responsible for 24/7 maintenance of motorways in Slovakia and needed a reliable way to monitor oil separators and manholes along the road. Their challenge was to detect rising water levels in deep manholes quickly enough to prevent overflowing and safety risks. Sensoneo provided an overflow warning use case with its smart Octopus sensors.

Sensoneo installed 52 Octopus sensors in May 2019 to monitor water levels in the oil separators along the R1 PRIBINA expressway. The sensors automatically alert the operator when thresholds are reached and send daily status messages when levels are calm. The system delivered immediate value after heavy rains, warning Granvia Operation in time to intervene at specific locations and avoid critical situations.
