Ekocharita - Customer Case Study

Ekocharita, a fast-growing textile waste bin operator in Slovakia, manages a network of 1,300 bins collecting about 3,000 tonnes of used clothing and other textiles each year. Their challenge was that textile bins fill at highly irregular and unpredictable rates, making collection planning difficult, driving up logistics costs, and increasing the risk of overflowing bins and wasted material.

Sensoneo provided smart bin monitoring through the Sensoneo Platform and ultrasonic sensors connected via LoRaWAN to track fill levels, temperature, tilt, and fire alarms in real time. Ekocharita used this data to redesign its collection routes and daily operations, reducing collection time by 30% and cutting waste collection costs by 20%, while improving warehouse management and enabling expansion into new customer segments.
