ASEKOL SK is an EPR organization in Slovakia that operates a nationwide WEEE take-back system for electrical waste, batteries, and accumulators. With 3,545 collection points and growing volumes, the company needed a better way to know when bins were full so it could optimize collections, reduce unnecessary pickups, and lower the environmental footprint. To solve this, ASEKOL SK turned to Sensoneo and its waste monitoring solution.

Sensoneo installed ultrasonic sensors on ASEKOL SK’s red and white bins to measure fill levels several times a day and feed the data into the Sensoneo platform. The system also predicts future filling cycles and helps the operator plan optimized collection routes in advance. As a result, ASEKOL SK can collect only full bins, maximize load efficiency, and nearly eliminate overfilling, improving planning, citizen convenience, and reducing CO2 emissions from waste collection.
