Polkka Oy, a catering company owned by the City of Joensuu, needed a solution to make its mandatory HACCP process faster and more transparent. Their challenge involved manually logging a range of entries, from food temperatures to hygiene, and required a system to monitor results and react to exceptions more efficiently. They turned to vendor Sensire for a solution.

Sensire implemented its Food & Beverage system, which combined a mobile app for logging and alerts with wireless Bluetooth probes and sensors for automated temperature monitoring throughout cooking and transport. This solution provided Polkka with automatic alarms, faster task completion, and centralized data in the Sensire Cloud. The results included significant time savings, a reduced workload, less waste, and much easier communication with authorities due to improved process transparency.
