How Attendo digitalized their catering kitchens with Sensire’s help

Attendo, a major Finnish care home service provider, faced significant challenges managing food safety across its vast network of over 400 locations. Manually updating and distributing a 70-80 page food safety document, which frequently changed due to regulatory feedback, was a major burden. The company needed a solution to harmonize this process nationally and ensure compliance was easier to manage and monitor. They partnered with vendor Sensire to digitalize their food safety management.

Sensire implemented its digital food safety system, starting with automatic temperature monitoring for cold rooms and fridges in approximately 130 central kitchens. The solution streamlined the management of the food safety plan, allowing for immediate updates instead of semi-annual manual revisions. Employee adoption was positive after initial training, and the project successfully expanded to include digital food waste recording and cleaning records. The collaboration with Sensire provided Attendo with a more efficient, centralized system and valuable expertise for future digitalization efforts.
