Solar/ Wireless Site Cameras Support Law Enforcement with Effective Use of Cameras in Public Parking Lots

The Town of Plymouth needed a way to capture and document activity in busy downtown and waterfront public parking areas to support police investigations and manage occasional incidents. To meet that challenge, Park Plymouth (part of the Plymouth Growth & Development Corporation) deployed Sensera Systems’ MC-68 cameras to monitor one of their busiest downtown surface lots.

Sensera Systems delivered a complete, end-to-end solution—solar-powered MC-68 cameras with LiFePO4 batteries, built-in DVR, cloud-hosted software, and cellular/wi‑fi connectivity—allowing the town to store several days of high-resolution images and run on battery power for up to 5 days. The system enabled police to request and download images (using a wi‑fi hotspot to avoid cellular costs), provided exceptional image quality for evidence and deterrence, and proved a cost-effective way for the Town of Plymouth to document incidents and improve parking-area safety.
