Muffato Group - Customer Case Study

Muffato Group, a major Brazilian retailer, sought to launch a revolutionary supermarket concept to set a new standard for hyper-convenience. They partnered with Sensei to implement its AI-powered autonomous retail technology in a new store, aiming to eliminate checkout counters and queues completely for a seamless customer experience.

Sensei implemented its autonomous store solution, which uses cameras, weight sensors, and AI algorithms to track purchases in real time, creating a virtual cart for each shopper. This allowed Muffato to open Muffato Go, the first autonomous supermarket in Latin America. The solution provides an average checkout time of just 30 seconds and gives Muffato valuable real-time data on stock levels and customer buying patterns to optimize operations.
