National Grid faced a challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic when lockdowns limited access to land, threatening to delay a design feasibility study for a new power cable route. Sensat's solution involved conducting a remote drone survey of the land adjacent to Didcot Power Station and providing access to its platform. This allowed National Grid and their consultants to visualize highly accurate, up-to-date 3D data from any device via a web application. The results kept workers safe by enabling remote access to critical project data, preventing project delays during the pandemic.
