Zapier needed a simpler, more reliable way for users to automate SMS workflows across the 2,000+ apps on its platform. SendHub answered that challenge with its updated Zapier SMS integration, using SendHub’s SMS/API service to remove technical friction and make SMS automation easier to set up and manage.
SendHub implemented UX and technical improvements—automatic line labeling, clearer authentication and error messaging, removal of redundant fields, and enhanced security and bug fixes—plus action upgrades that recognize phone numbers in many formats (no longer requiring E.164), a combined “Send Message” action for scheduling to multiple contacts/groups, a more capable “Create Contact” action (update/remove groups, custom fields, block/unblock), and new create/find Group/Contact actions. These changes by SendHub improved reliability, reduced manual formatting and Zap task usage, and sped up workflow automation across Zapier-connected apps.
