Screen Time Labs is the maker of Screen Time, an app used by over 1 million parents and more than 100,000 daily active users to set device limits and monitor kids’ digital use. Founder Steve Vangasse needed a cloud solution that was easy to set up, reliable, and able to scale while he maintained a day job. After building on Google Cloud Platform and initially sending limited email via App Engine, the company outgrew that capability and needed a more robust transactional email solution.

On a GCP recommendation, Screen Time integrated SendGrid for email delivery, gaining easy volume upgrades, quick setup, and detailed analytics to optimize campaigns. The result was strong performance and confidence in scale: 99.72% delivery, a 42.1% open rate and a 2.67% unsubscribe rate, plus reduced operational overhead and peace of mind that the platform can grow with the business.
