The marketing operations team discovered subuser accounts experiencing ISP blocks and high hard-bounce rates from invalid addresses, threatening critical email communications, so they engaged SendGrid’s Expert Services to investigate.
SendGrid’s experts analyzed account data and third-party analytics, identified two key risks (high hard bounces and a 10% block rate on an inactive lead-routing domain), and worked with ISPs to resolve them. The fixes lifted domain blocks (improving delivery from 0% to near 100%), cut bounce rates by about half for the top ten ESPs through list hygiene, resolved the routing-domain block, and helped realtor.com achieve over 99% deliverability—restoring confidence and improving engagement metrics.
