Listia is a social online marketplace and mobile app where users buy, sell and bid on items using credits instead of cash, and it has grown to over 8 million users. Because the platform depends on email for bids, reminders and account activity, rapid growth (a 30% rise in monthly emails) led to blocks at Hotmail and Yahoo, blacklistings and roughly 20% of messages being blocked—hurting engagement and disrupting trades.
