Happy Grasshopper is an automated email marketing platform that uses SendGrid’s OEM infrastructure to send marketing and client-recruitment campaigns for thousands of businesses. When major ISPs tightened DMARC policies, Happy Grasshopper realized many clients sending from personal domains would see lower sending reputations, higher spam/delivery failures, and they lacked the segmentation and visibility to identify which senders were causing problems.
Happy Grasshopper engaged SendGrid’s Email Delivery Consulting, which identified 862 DMARC-violating clients, recommended moving senders to controlled domains, implemented subpool management, and used SendGrid’s Event Webhook to pinpoint and isolate poor-performing senders. As a result they improved inbox placement and engagement—achieving a 96.7% delivery rate, 44.5% open rate, and 0.8% unsubscribe—while gaining ongoing consultancy and operational practices to protect sender reputation.
