Dream11, a leading fantasy sports app in India, needed a highly reliable email platform to support millions of concurrent users and the massive volume of transactional and notification emails tied to deposits, withdrawals, contest deadlines, and match results. To meet this challenge, Dream11 chose SendGrid’s Email API to ensure emails could scale with its rapidly growing user base and help build trust with users across the app journey.

SendGrid implemented the email infrastructure Dream11 needed, including support for high-volume sending, dynamic segmentation through an integration with Clevertap, and professional services to improve deliverability. The results included about 500 million emails sent monthly, delivery at peaks of 300,000–400,000 emails per minute, promotional email open rates up to 20%, and personalized season report card emails reaching open rates as high as 30%.
