Minneapolis Dealership Group worked with Semcasting to grow sales to customers who would not only buy a vehicle, but also be likely to service it in the future—what dealers call high lifetime value (HLV) customers. The challenge was to prove that HLV advertising could drive incremental vehicle sales from households that had never previously transacted with the dealership.

Semcasting implemented its SmartTarget Conquest Platform to build a custom predictive model from the dealer’s transactional data, identify high-scoring HLV households, suppress existing customers, and run targeted display advertising to incremental prospects. Semcasting reported a 303% higher conversion rate versus control, 33 car sales in the campaign group versus 30 in control, and 17% higher profit per sale, with campaign profit of $78.6k compared with $61.7k for control.
