Zodiac Aerospace, a global leader in aeronautical equipment with 35,000 employees, faced fragmented master data across fifteen division databases and millions of article, customer and supplier records with inconsistent semantics (units, codes and definitions). Seeking a single point of entry for post‑sales activities and enforceable data standards, the company selected Semarchy xDM (supported by integrator Business & Decision) to underpin its Data Hub and replace fragile Excel-based processes.

Working with Business & Decision, Zodiac implemented Semarchy in phased iterations—BI go‑live in spring 2016, RDM consolidated reference data in early 2017, and a third phase to produce “master cards” is underway—allowing them to integrate existing models without rebuilding sources. Semarchy enabled centralized reference data, measurable KPIs for data quality, more reliable metrics (now used by SAP BFC for platforms, product lines, customer groups, markets and cost centers), and established roles and processes; Semarchy is now positioned as a central tool in Zodiac Aerospace’s data architecture.
