Chipotle faced fragmented, inaccurate operational and reference data that harmed customer experience and added heavy IT overhead — examples included imprecise store locations, disconnected menu and ordering channels, and slow, multi-department processes for tax and menu changes. To address this, Chipotle partnered with Semarchy and deployed Semarchy xDM (Intelligent MDM) to give business units more control and avoid a rigid, “big bang” MDM approach.

Semarchy implemented a Restaurant Master by integrating seven source systems into an enterprise model to load, curate and distribute data, plus Menu and Tax Master solutions with self-service authoring for business users. Semarchy’s solution improved nearest-store accuracy and enabled proactive menu-location decisions, cut multi-week, multi-team change cycles to tasks handled by 1–2 people with no training, reduced operational costs, and delivered a fast, minimally disruptive ROI using Semarchy xDM.
