Simply Business, a fast-growing company, was struggling with long CI/CD queues and build times that could stretch from 30 minutes to over an hour as its team hit the limits of its previous Semaphore plan on slower E1 servers. The delays were slowing development and making it hard for engineers to keep their workflow moving.

Semaphore implemented a trial of its faster F1 servers and helped Simply Business move to an on-demand plan, while also optimizing the pipeline with features like caching and flaky test detection. As a result, build times dropped to about 10–12 minutes, queues were eliminated, and the team also cut CI costs by about 20% through smarter configuration.
