Malwin Béla Hürkey - Customer Case Study

Malwin Béla Hürkey, a Berlin-based visual communication designer, created Nihon, an ornamental Japonism typeface, and needed a shop system that could properly display and document its unconventional design. Conventional platforms wouldn’t suffice, so he built a custom storefront and integrated Sellfy to handle sales and distribution.

Using Sellfy in his bespoke shop and promoting Nihon via exhibition (HfG Rundgang), Behance and his website, Malwin drove intensive launch traffic — including hundreds of tweets — and earned features on Sidebar, Betype, Type Release and Design Made in Germany, with an upcoming piece in Time Out Magazine Tokyo; early buyer messages confirmed purchases and strong interest, showing Sellfy effectively enabled monetization and reach.
