Newark & Sheerwood District Council, serving 114,000 residents in a largely rural part of Nottinghamshire, needed a better way to manage employee absence across its 315 full-time and 324 part-time staff. To help address this challenge, the council used Selima HR and Payroll software, including Selima’s absence management functionality and HR Manager Homepage.
Selima implemented its latest absence management module and manager homepage, giving managers instant visibility into team activity and the tools to handle return-to-work interviews independently of HR. As a result, Newark & Sheerwood achieved a sustainable 22% reduction in absence, with the change also reducing demand on HR and improving managerial decision-making.
