Newark & Sheerwood District Council, serving 114,000 residents in a largely rural part of Nottinghamshire, needed a better way to manage employee absence across its 315 full-time and 324 part-time staff. Selima implemented its latest absence management module and manager homepage, giving managers instant visibility into team activity and the tools to handle return-to-work interviews independently of HR. As a result, Newark & Sheerwood achieved a sustainable 22% reduction in absence, with the change also reducing demand on HR and improving managerial decision-making.
