Kinross Gold Corporation needed a better way to identify and validate gold targets in the Yukon, where deposits can have very small surface footprints and traditional shallow sampling often misses mineralization. Working with Seequent, the company benefited from advanced geoscience and data-management approaches to help process and interpret exploration data more effectively.

Seequent supported the exploration workflow behind Shawn Ryan’s large-scale soil sampling program, combining geochemical analysis with GPS and GIS-based data handling to build a consistent master database across properties. The result was the discovery and advancement of the White Gold district, now believed to contain about two million ounces of gold, with multiple significant discoveries expected as exploration continues.
