A Seequent Case Study
Trilogy Metals, a junior mining company advancing the Upper Kobuk Mineral Project in Alaska, needed a better way to manage and share large, frequently updated geological models across a distributed team. Working with Seequent’s model management platform, Seequent Central, they were struggling with manual file transfers, version control risks, and time-consuming model sharing between geologists in different locations.
Seequent Central gave Trilogy Metals a single source of truth for geoscience data, making it easier to collaborate, test different modelling ideas, and share models with internal and external stakeholders, including South32 and a third-party consultant. The result was faster collaboration, reduced risk of using the wrong model version, and significant time savings—Bonnie Broman estimated uploads and compression could take as much as four hours—helping Trilogy Metals focus more on geology and less on data management.
