A Seequent Case Study
Bridgeporth, a geosciences company in Milton Keynes, U.K., needed a lower-cost way to improve oil and gas exploration targeting without relying on seismic alone. Working with Seequent, the team looked at how gravity and magnetics could be integrated earlier in the exploration workflow to better understand subsurface geology and reduce unnecessary seismic spend.
Seequent’s Geosoft toolkit, including Oasis montaj and GM-SYS, was used to process, model, and integrate gravity and magnetic data with seismic and well data for a more complete interpretation. The result was a more constrained geological model that could improve seismic planning, support frontier exploration decisions, and add significant uplift to targeting—though the case study does not provide specific numeric performance gains.
