Geosoft supported N-Sea during a marine UXO survey for a proposed natural gas pipeline through the Baltic Sea. The challenge was to identify potential unexploded ordnance targets on and beneath the seabed across a large offshore route, using geophysical and magnetic data collected from an ROV-equipped survey vessel.

Using Seequent’s Oasis montaj, along with the UXO Marine extension and custom scripts, the team carried out QA/QC, magnetic data corrections, analytical signal grid creation, and target picking for EOD review. The solution improved data consistency and enabled efficient offshore target generation and investigation, while also giving Geosoft practical insight into how large volumes of survey data are managed and delivered in real offshore operations.
