Contact Gold Corp, a junior gold exploration company focused on Nevada’s Carlin Trend, needed a reliable way to combine large amounts of historical and newly collected geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to build a clearer exploration model for its Pony Creek project. The challenge was turning thousands of data points into a trustworthy 3D understanding of the deposit controls so the team could make better drilling decisions and move toward an accurate resource estimate. Seequent’s Leapfrog Geo was the key product used to help with this work.

Using Seequent’s Leapfrog Geo, Contact Gold Corp validated historical data, integrated multiple datasets into a 3D geological model, and identified a northeast-striking fault system that guided drilling at Pony Creek. This led to drillhole PC18-03, described in the case study as the best oxide mineralization intercept on the property to date, with the oxide zone offering lower-cost processing potential. The improved 3D model also gave the team greater confidence in its exploration strategy and in communicating results to investors and stakeholders.
