Major U.S. Oil and Gas Company worked with Seeq Corporation to better understand the productivity of its thousands of wells and determine when underperforming wells should be decommissioned. The company’s existing manual, offline well health calculations were time-consuming, error-prone, and difficult to scale across a large asset base.

Using Seeq’s advanced analytics and Seeq Organizer, the team automated Well Productivity Index calculations from OSIsoft PI and OSIsoft Asset Framework data, including flow and pressure measurements. Seeq Corporation helped the customer save about 500 hours of engineer time for 1,000 wells, reduce data entry errors, and improve visibility into well performance so resources could be focused on the most productive wells.
