Seeq Corporation helped a major oil & gas company address the time-consuming challenge of well completion analysis. Its production engineers were manually calculating Instantaneous Shut-In Pressure (ISIP) in Excel and on paper across hundreds to thousands of wells, making the process slow, error-prone, and difficult to scale.

Using Seeq software with data from OSIsoft PI and OSIsoft Asset Framework, the company automated ISIP curve analysis across multiple wells and zipper systems, removed invalid data, and enabled faster calculations and comparisons such as delta pressure. Seeq reduced one well’s analysis from 10 hours to 10 minutes, dramatically shortened analysis times, and saved months of engineering effort across the company’s wells.
