Wucato, a centralized procurement platform, needed a way to rapidly connect its many suppliers, including smaller, non-EDI-capable ones. The previous manual EDI onboarding process was slow and inefficient, preventing the platform from scaling its product range effectively. To overcome this challenge, Wucato turned to its IT partner, SEEBURGER, for a solution using their cloud services.
SEEBURGER implemented its Community Management App (CMA) for automated supplier onboarding and its WebEDI-based Supplier Portal for smaller vendors. This solution drastically reduced manual effort, accelerated the connection process, and allowed non-EDI-capable suppliers to participate. The result for Wucato was a significantly increased onboarding rate, enabling the platform to offer its over 14 million articles smoothly and automatically.
