Luigi Lavazza Spa, a major Italian coffee company, faced the challenge of complying with a new Italian government mandate requiring all domestic invoices to be issued electronically through the Sistema di Interscambio (SdI) platform. Non-compliance carried significant financial penalties and would prevent invoice recipients from deducting VAT. Lavazza needed a solution that could integrate seamlessly with its SAP ERP system, handle a high volume of transactions, and ensure full legal compliance, prompting them to partner with SEEBURGER.

SEEBURGER implemented its Global E-Invoicing Cloud Service, which was fully integrated with Lavazza's SAP system using certified connections. The solution automatically converted invoices to the mandated FatturaPA XML format, applied digital signatures, and communicated with the SdI platform.
