A SEEBURGER Case Study
The Hirschvogel Automotive Group, a global manufacturer of automotive components, faced the challenge of migrating its nine global locations to SAP S/4HANA without disrupting its critical B2B/EDI processes, which serve as the main link to manufacturers' production lines. To ensure this digital backbone remained secure and stable, they partnered with their long-standing integration vendor, SEEBURGER, and utilized the SEEBURGER Cloud Integration Services for B2B/EDI.
SEEBURGER implemented a strategy that treated the ERP and B2B/EDI migrations as separate, simultaneous projects. By leveraging their fully managed service and pre-configured mappings, SEEBURGER decoupled external and internal formats, allowing only the process mappings to be changed while all connections to business partners remained untouched. This approach enabled a stealthy system switch with zero impact on partners, ensured the subproject was completed on time and on budget, and kept the B2B/EDI environment fully operational throughout the entire complex migration.
