A SEEBURGER Case Study
BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, Europe's largest household appliance manufacturer, faced a challenge in managing its engineering data interchange with numerous external development partners. Their existing process was fragmented, using a mix of an older SEEBURGER solution, a separate service for ad hoc transfers, and various outdated PDM systems. Their objective was to consolidate this entire file transfer process into a single, modern, and future-proof solution operated in-house.
SEEBURGER implemented its Business Integration Suite, which included the BIS6 Server for standard processes and was extended with a pre-configured MTF solution. They also implemented the BIS FileExchange solution to handle all file uploads and downloads with partners, consolidating the previously separate ad hoc transfer process. According to a BSH service manager, this provided a single-source solution and resulted in significant cost savings by phasing out the old ad hoc transfer service.
