Fercam Italy, a European leader in integrated logistics, faced IT infrastructure challenges due to its rapid growth. The company, an existing SEEBURGER customer, was running an outdated version of the software that caused safety and performance problems. Its legacy architecture and reliance on a single stand-alone server were unable to efficiently handle the nearly 100,000 B2B and A2A EDI messages processed daily, creating limitations for performance and business continuity.

SEEBURGER implemented its BIS6 On-Premises solution to modernize Fercam's EDI exchange. The new, more articulated infrastructure enhanced safety and reliability by securing sensitive data in an SQL database, initiating all connections from an internal server, and eliminating the need to open inbound firewall ports. With two servers allocated in an active cluster, the solution provided the necessary scalability and efficiency. This upgrade ensured total cooperation with partners and a perfect synergy between Fercam's various business divisions.
