Sedex makes it easier for Euro Fruits to learn and develop

Euro Fruits, India’s leading exporter of table grapes to UK and European supermarkets since 1993, faced the challenge of demonstrating and measuring its corporate social responsibility and sustainability practices against credible criteria. At the request of its UK importers the company joined Sedex and adopted the Sedex platform and membership services (including the online Self-Assessment Questionnaire and the Sedex Supplier Workbook) to help meet compliance and reporting needs.

Sedex provided a single platform, guidance documents, training modules and the Supplier Workbook that reduced the need for multiple audits and turned compliance into a structured learning process. As a result, Euro Fruits is rolling the Sedex system out to grower-suppliers and packing-material manufacturers—some of whom have already committed to become Sedex members and submit an SAQ within the next year—and Sedex has become an integral part of their CSR and sustainability efforts.
