A Sedex Case Study

Preview of the Save the Duck Case Study

Save The Duck conducts 32 audits across 41 suppliers with Sedex

Save The Duck, an Italian animal-free outerwear brand, faced challenges in managing its complex international supply chain. They needed to prepare for new regulations like the Digital Product Passport, consolidate fragmented social and environmental data, and provide concrete evidence of their ethical standards to customers. To address this, they partnered with vendor Sedex to use its platform for assessments and audits.

The solution implemented by Sedex involved onboarding Tier 1 suppliers to complete Self-Assessment Questionnaires and conduct SMETA audits. This provided Sedex with the data needed for risk analysis and to build its Digital Product Passport. As a result, Save The Duck achieved unprecedented supply chain visibility, conducting 32 audits on 41 suppliers with no forced labor detected. Sedex enabled a more mature dialogue with suppliers and integrated sustainability directly into the company's core strategy.
