Mölnlycke Health Care Leveraging Scalable Tools for Global Supply Chain ESG Risk Management

Mölnlycke, a global medical technology company focused on sustainable wound care and surgical solutions, faced the challenge of scaling sustainability across a complex international supply chain as part of its commitment to the UN Global Compact and Net Zero targets. To standardise supplier data and manage ESG risk at scale, Mölnlycke partnered with Sedex, using the Sedex Platform and Sedex’s risk-based methodology to align assessments and screening across its global supplier base.

Working with Sedex, Mölnlycke used Sedex’s risk assessment tools to screen roughly 16,000 suppliers across 80 countries and identify those in socially or environmentally high‑risk contexts. Sedex supported development of an audit programme and an action plan targeting high‑risk suppliers, enabling proactive remediation and stronger supply‑chain risk management; Mölnlycke is now extending visibility upstream and into medium/low‑risk suppliers to drive further sustainability improvements.
