How Inflection Improved Customer Experience with Autonomously Managed AWS Lambda

Inflection, a SaaS company, was replatforming from Kubernetes to serverless on AWS Lambda to improve development and operations efficiency while supporting high-volume real-time APIs. The company needed an operations model that minimized engineering effort as it shifted to serverless, and it wanted a lower-touch way to manage performance and reliability. Sedai’s autonomous cloud management platform, including its optimization and remediation capabilities, was used to help address this challenge.

Sedai implemented autonomous management for Inflection’s AWS Lambda services, focusing on latency and reliability while reducing operational overhead. The result was a greater than 95% reduction in Failed Customer Interactions, with FCIs dropping from 3.2% to 0.02%, a 14% reduction in latency, and up to 81% latency improvement in individual services. Sedai also helped drive a 7% NPS gain and a 90% reduction in ops toil, allowing engineers to spend more time on core product work.
