Beaumont Health System, Michigan’s largest health care system with eight hospitals and more than 35,000 employees and contractors, faced outdated, inconsistent PowerPoint security training across three campuses and needed a modern program to protect patient records and meet HIPAA and PCI requirements. To address this, Beaumont chose Security Mentor as its security awareness training and education provider.

Security Mentor delivered brief, interactive security awareness lessons (about ten minutes monthly) and phishing-simulation capabilities, piloting with ~11,000 users and rolling out to nearly 35,000 employees and contractors. Security Mentor’s program became part of Beaumont’s risk management, drove a measurable cultural shift toward security, reduced overall risk, improved phishing detection (employees are now the organization’s “best detection system”), and received consistently positive feedback.
