International Airport Maximizes Security and Operational Efficiency with SecuriThings Horizon

A major international airport faced a growing challenge managing thousands of physical security IoT devices such as video surveillance and access control systems. The team had limited edge visibility, making it difficult to detect cyber threats, maintain device health, and keep up with manual firmware upgrades and repairs. SecuriThings helped address these issues with its Horizon IoTOps platform.

SecuriThings Horizon was deployed by connecting to the airport’s central Video Management System (VMS), enabling 24/7 monitoring, risk detection, predictive maintenance, and automated operations across existing and new devices. Immediately after deployment, SecuriThings identified multiple risks, including 12% of devices accessed by suspicious IPs, 13% running vulnerable firmware, 10% with major health issues, 34% with configuration problems, and 4% with high-risk exposed services, improving the airport’s ability to automate mitigation and increase operational efficiency.
