Eastern Maine Electric Cooperative (EMEC), a 35‑employee nonprofit serving 12,600 homes and businesses across a 3,000‑square‑mile rural territory, needed enterprise‑grade security to offer PCI‑compliant online bill payments while working with a tight budget and limited IT staff.
