Hospital IT Staff Heals Insecure Network

A leading hospital attached to a prestigious university faced the challenge of securing its network across two different infrastructures. The hospital used Cisco ISE while the university used FreeRADIUS, and they needed a unified certificate-based authentication system that would allow users from either institution to seamlessly access both networks. They engaged SecureW2 to find a solution.

SecureW2 implemented its JoinNow platform with a Dynamic SCEP solution to automate certificate enrollment for all managed devices. This provided both the hospital and university with their own private certificate authorities, and SecureW2 integrated with both RADIUS providers to enable seamless EAP-TLS authentication across the two campuses. As a result, SecureW2 successfully deployed certificates to all corporate devices within four months, eliminating the need for vulnerable pre-shared keys and allowing users to access both networks with a single certificate.
