Florida County School District Secures Guest Network With NetAuth Solution

A Florida County School District, with over 50,000 students and 7,000 staff, was struggling with an inefficient and insecure guest Wi-Fi network. Their IT team was burdened with manually approving access for every guest, a process that consumed significant resources and offered weak security. They turned to SecureW2 in search of an automated solution that would provide robust security without a major infrastructure overhaul.

SecureW2 implemented its NetAuth solution, which streamlined guest access through a self-service portal where users could register and receive credentials automatically. This eliminated the need for manual IT approval. The integrated Cloud RADIUS server provided powerful security through VLAN steering and certificate-based policies, ensuring guests were kept off the private internal network. The solution was deployed in just one week, and the district is now able to easily manage a secure guest network, freeing up IT resources and paving the way for future security enhancements with SecureW2.
