Matamata-Piako District Council Delivers on strategic sustainability goals

Matamata-Piako District Council had been on a digital transformation path since 2016 but was still printing and couriering monthly council packs to councillors, incurring time, postage, storage costs and carbon emissions. To achieve fully digital meetings and meet strategic sustainability goals for reducing paper, transport and administrative overhead, the council selected Secured Signing to digitise agendas, minutes, reports and contracts.

Secured Signing’s PKI-based digital signature platform and intuitive form builder allowed documents to be filled, signed, sealed and audited from any device—with signers able to sign without needing a platform license. The solution eliminated paper processes, improved compliance and remote working (including during COVID), scaled across multiple departments, and delivered estimated annual savings of $26,276 while advancing the council’s sustainability and efficiency objectives.
