The Rose Learning Trust Cyber Resilience Programme

The Rose Learning Trust, a multi-academy trust, faced a growing challenge as schools became increasing targets for cyber-crime. They needed to evaluate their preparedness for a cyber incident and improve their overall cyber resilience, recognizing a significant gap in their strategic approach, board oversight, and staff training. To address this, they partnered with Secure Schools for its cyber resilience programme and services tailored to the education sector.

Secure Schools provided a comprehensive solution, beginning with a baseline audit against government-recognized frameworks. They delivered an implementation plan, technical security assessments, and board-level support to embed cyber risk management. As a result, The Rose Learning Trust successfully achieved Cyber Essentials certification, embedded cyber security at the board level with termly reports, and implemented a staff-wide awareness training programme. The trust's risk register is now fully compliant, and they are planning to pursue further certifications.
