A Secure Code Warrior Case Study

How a Game of Codes Is Leading Iag Group to a More Secure Coding Future

IAG Group, the organization behind several leading insurance companies in the Asia-Pacific region, needed a faster, more engaging way to upskill its developers in secure coding without disrupting delivery timelines. With sensitive customer data to protect and teams spread across Australia and New Zealand, IAG looked to Secure Code Warrior’s gamified secure coding training to help reduce the attack surface in its applications and improve its ability to identify and fix high-risk vulnerabilities.

Secure Code Warrior helped IAG Group launch “Game of Codes,” a themed, tournament-style learning program that combined training, competition, prizes, and internal communications to drive participation and behavior change. The result was stronger security awareness across development teams, increased confidence in secure coding, executive support, and the launch of an ambassador program; IAG also reports that 55% of its development team is already active in the platform as it works toward 100% rollout and uses the solution for developer recruitment and internal metrics to measure reduced risk and cost over time.
