Case Study: e-Estonia achieves secure automated eMRTD and border control certificate management with Secunet Security Networks’ eID PKI Suite

e-Estonia uses Secunet Security Networks eID PKI Suite as 13th country for secure eMRTD issuance

The customer, e-Estonia, required a secure and automated solution for managing the public key infrastructure (PKI) related to its electronic passports (eMRTDs) and border control systems. To meet this challenge, they selected the eID PKI Suite from vendor Secunet Security Networks.

Secunet Security Networks implemented its eID PKI Suite to fully automate all PKI processes for e-Estonia's eMRTD issuance and verification. The solution, which uses a certified CA kernel, ensured the highest security standards were met. As a result, Estonia became the 13th country to choose secunet's eID PKI suite for their national certificate management.
